L’Atoll Angers, France
The winner of ICSC European Shopping Centre Awards 2013 is L’Atoll commercial building. L' Atoll is designed by Antonio Virga and AAVP Architecture in Angers, France. L’Atoll is a modern shopping center with a focus on furniture and interior design. The Project Area is 250,693 square meters and It has 91,000 square meters gross leasable area (GLA) of retail space and 2700 parking spaces.
The structure is covered with a white aluminum net, which is raised to 12 meters high and equipped with colorful backlit. L’Atoll is the largest shopping mall in France and welcomed more than 6.4 million visitors in 2013. The project is opened in April 2012 and the construction cost is estimated about 170 million euro.
